And He saw that they were distressed in rowing, for the wind was against them… He came to them walking on the sea… “Take heart, it is I; have no fear.” And He got into the boat with them and the wind ceased.
Sometimes we are faced with challenges and difficulties that we tend to forget He whom our help comes from and depend in our feeble strength; in our weak selves. Then the winds of trouble and our sins toss us back and forth and we drift in fear ready to drown after realizing our resources were not enough to combat the wind and save us from sinking. But today our Lord Jesus want us to have a strong faith in him, a faith that enables us believe that He is ever present and will never let us perish no matter what situation we may find ourselves in. He hears our cries and comes to us. He wants to abide in us; He came for one purpose-to save us. So don’t be afraid, no matter how strong the turbulence is we will always sail through to safe havens because our anchor is Christ Jesus himself.
