“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing. Today’s Gospel shows us the power for the Spirit of God. We are God’s children, if we keep his commandments; the Holy Spirit will come upon us and dwell in us and we shall be anointed with the blessings of the Most High, we will be released from those troubles that overburden us, we shall recover out sight in the midst of the darkness of this world, we will be set free from the shackles of sin and this year shall be one of manifestation in our lives. It is the Spirit of God that make all things right. Remember, His commandments are not burdensome (1 John 5:3). So let the Spirit of God be upon you today: ask for the Holy Spirit and strive to keep our Lord’s commandment of love.
